The shield's edge dissolves into the forearm — an early spatial reasoning failure. The model understood the relationship between shield and hero but could not resolve where one ended and the other began.

The uniform fabric has a handmade quality — slightly uneven, slightly dreamlike. This is what happens when a model approximates texture from memory rather than rendering it from rule.

Shield edge warps into the forearm — early spatial reasoning failure

Post-Correction Period

Captain America (v4 Revision)

Late 2022 · Midjourney v4

By version 4, the topology problem was largely solved. The shield is correctly bounded. The uniform is consistent. The fingers — all five of them — are present and accounted for.

What is missing is harder to name. The dreamlike instability has been replaced with confident competence. The image knows what it is. It no longer confesses anything.

Corrections Applied

Resolved shield geometry · Correct finger count · Stable fabric rendering · No procedural overflow

"The models learned to be correct. In doing so, they learned to be silent about their own confusion."
